The MacGregor 26 specification allows for a maximum of a 60HP engine. We installed the Yamaha Fuel Injected 4 stroke petrol engine.

Keeping the engine in perfect condition at all times is paramount for safety and long term enjoyment. We've installed new gauges to monitor the engine ensuring optimum performance without interfering with the existing electronics and the ECM (Electronic Command Module)

New electronic oil pressure sensor added whilst keeping the oil pressure sensor switch.

New temperature sensor.

The oil pressure is monitored using wires to the gauge on the pedestal instead of oil pressure tubing.

Electronic Vacuum Sensor. The vacuum pressure is monitored using wires to the gauge on the pedestal instead of tubing.

The original pedestal had only a rev meter.

Using a 60HP engine on a sailing yacht is an amazing experience. It gets us into safe places fast in case of weather change. It's also lots of fun and pure pleasure cruising.
