A job well done
After weeks of hard work, I managed to get the engine repairs completed today. Like a jack of all trades and master of none, I have two bolts left over. I have checked and checked and can’t work out where they fit. I’ll figure it out sooner or later. After installation of the intake manifold along with the EGR and other components, it was time to fill the oil and the radiator with water. I am so happy and very pleased with myself that the engine started without any problem. It was a sign of relief that I just can’t find words to explain. She gets to drink the green stuff and I celebrate with a glass of champagne. That’s fair. “She” is the car, as if I needed to explain Next is flushing the oil, replace the oil filter and diesel filter, the engine air filter and the car should be ready for going around Australia again.
